It’s about time I added a music section to The Wannabe VC being a drummer and being that I talk about how technology is changing the music business on occasion. So, without further adieu, this is the official launch of The Wannabe VC’s music section where I will recommend music I have been listening to. Who will get the honors of being mentioned in the first ever music post? Answer: Wolfmother.

I heard these guys for the first time on KROQ while driving from LA (where Wolfmother is based) to Ontario for the Podcast and Portable Media Expo and was immediately in love with their stuff. If you like Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, etc. (I know, who doesn’t?) then these guys are for you. They mix a little of the new with sounds of the old in just the right way and they know how to write some catchy hooks. For those looking for something new and different from all of the indie rock that pervades the airwaves these days, stop your search and check out Wolfmother.
